FAERIE GLEN NATURE VILLAGE

Welcome to the official web page of the

Faerie Glen Nature Village community initiative.

The Faerie Glen Nature Village initiative strives to make Faerie Glen a safe and secure neighbourhood for all residents, by working towards implementing monitored access control in our area.

Give your permission for monitored access control today and join us in making Faerie Glen a safe and pleasant neighbourhood for all.

WHY MONITORED ACCESS CONTROL?

It is a reality that criminal elements have become active in our neighbourhood. Crime reports and an increase in incidents shows that open access neighbourhoods like ours, are increasingly being targeted by criminals as other areas implement monitored access control.

Our area is becoming more vulnerable as areas around us are being closed off. Groenkloof, Lynnwood and Lynnwood North have already closed off and Waterkloof is nearing the submission date of their applications for street closure. It would therefore be prudent for us to follow suit.

PROJECT TIMELINE

The timeline below sets out the planned tasks and milestones of the project.

The focus for now until the end of September 2022 is to obtain the required permission for monitored access control forms (a minimum of 67%), so that we can start with our application at Tshwane. As soon as we have completed this stage and know that the community wants to implement monitored access control, the next step will be for residents to become members and to start contributing to the application costs.

HOW CAN YOU HELP

To submit our application to the council to implement monitored access control, we need at least 67% of our residents to give consent to the initiative.

The current phase of the project only focuses on getting the required consent and obtaining the "Permission for monitored access control" forms, which will be submitted to Tshwane with our application.

Please click the "Permission form" button below and fill in the short online form. After submitting the form a link will be made available to download the document, which needs to be signed and sent back to sandra@proadmin.co.za. The document can also be downloaded by clicking on "DOWNLOAD PERMISSION FORM".
