COSTS & CONTRIBUTIONS

Four years ago, when we initiated the monitored access control project, we utilized budgets and costing models from other boomed-off areas as a reference. Our initial approach categorized duets as smaller properties, assuming they would contribute half of what full-title households do.

However, upon reflection, we acknowledge this was a mistake. Many duets in our area are larger in size and accommodate larger families compared to full-title houses. The focus of the FGNV community project is on enhancing the lives of individuals and families, prioritizing people over structures.

To ensure fairness and unity, we have decided to standardize costs and contributions for all households. Effective immediately, the first deposit for all households, including houses and duets, will be R965. The second deposit for all households will be R6,700. Additionally, the estimated monthly contribution per household will be R600.

Equal contribution fosters fairness and a sense of ownership among all residents. Let's work together to strengthen our community.
